Key Points for the Installation of Small Scissor Lifts

2022-05-09

I. Foundation Preparation Before Installation

To avoid equipment tilting, abnormal noise, or even overturning due to insufficient foundation strength, before installing the lifting equipment, we should ensure that the newly poured concrete has been cured for more than 20 days. Moreover, different types of lifting machines must meet the following conditions:
  1. For small scissor lifts with a capacity of less than 3.5 tons, the concrete strength should reach the C25 - C30 standard, and the concrete thickness should be no less than 150mm.

  2. For small scissor lifts with a capacity of 4.0 tons and above, the concrete strength should reach the C25 - C30 standard, and the concrete thickness should be no less than 200mm.

  3. The ground level accuracy should be less than 5mm.

  4. For small scissor lifts installed in a recessed (hidden - in - ground) manner, angle iron L40 should be pre - embedded around the pit for edging. If there is no condition to connect the drain pipe to the sewer at the installation site, a sump pit should be made.

II. Workstation Dimensions

  1. It is recommended to reserve the workstation dimensions according to the 4S standard workstation, which is (7000 - 8000) x 4000mm.

  2. There must be sufficient space to ensure that vehicles can drive onto and off the lifting machine.

  3. It is necessary to prevent lifted vehicles from hitting the roof. When the roof is relatively low, it is recommended to install a light - blocking alarm device on the ceiling.

III. Power Supply and Air Source Connection at the Installation Site

  1. The specification of the three - phase core wire should be at least 2.5mm², and the specification of the single - phase core wire should be at least 4mm².

  2. The power supply should be reserved 1 meter away from the electrical control box.

  3. It should be noted that if the power supply is not connected before equipment installation, the repair station needs to provide a 380V three - phase four - wire temporary power supply for equipment commissioning and training.

IV. Preparation of Installation Tools and Materials

  1. 18 liters of L - HM46 anti - wear hydraulic oil is required before the installation of each scissor lift.

  2. A forklift with a capacity of more than 2T should be prepared for cargo loading, unloading, moving, and installation operations.

  3. The detailed list of installation equipment and tools shall be subject to the information provided by the lifting machine manufacturer.

V. Unpacking and Checking Components

  1. Unpack the outer packaging and count the components.

  2. Use a forklift to remove the fixed brackets of the two platforms.

  3. Place the two platforms at the installation workstation (note the distinction between the main and auxiliary platforms; the one close to the control cabinet is the main platform).

VI. Oil Pipe Connection and Limiting

  1. Connect the oil pipe of the auxiliary platform to the three - way joint of the main platform.

  2. Connect the air pipe of the auxiliary platform to the three - way air pipe of the main platform.

  3. Connect the limit wire in the control cabinet to the travel switch.

  4. Connect the oil pipe to the valve plate joint of the control cabinet. (Note the distinction between the main and auxiliary oil pipes)

VII. Connecting to External Power Supply, Adding Hydraulic Oil, and Adjusting Platform Position

  1. Connect the power cord of the control cabinet to the external power supply.

  2. Open the leveling valve to level the two platforms (note that the leveling valve needs to be opened when bleeding air).

  3. Adjust the front - rear, left - right distances of the platforms and the distance between the two platforms properly.

VIII. Fixing Expansion Bolts

  1. Select a suitable drill bit according to the size of the expansion bolt.

  2. The drilling depth must be about 3 cm longer than the length of the expansion bolt.

  3. Clean the dust and put the expansion bolt into the hole.

  4. Lock the expansion bolt.

IX. Commissioning

  1. Check that all screws and oil pipe joints are fully tightened.

  2. Keep vehicles and personnel away from the platform, lift it to the highest position, ensure that it is locked, and then check that there is enough space for unlocking when lifting again.

X. Putting into Operation

  1. Apply butter to lubricate the roller slideways of the lifting machine.
To ensure the safety of the equipment during future use, before the equipment is put into operation, the maintenance personnel who operate the lifting equipment should receive safety standard operation training for the equipment after the installation of the lifting machine and then take up their posts. If you have any questions before the lifting installation, please call the customer service hotline +86 - 10 - 52478890/1/2/3 or contact the local dealer. We will provide assistance for you as soon as possible.
