Key Points for the Installation of Large Scissor Lifts
2022-04-30
I. Foundation Preparation Before Installation
To prevent equipment tilting, abnormal noise, or even overturning due to insufficient foundation strength, ensure that newly poured concrete has cured for over 20 days before installing lifting equipment. Different types of lifters must meet the following conditions:
- Large scissors (4.2 tons and below): Concrete strength ≥ C25-C30, thickness ≥ 150mm;
- 5-ton large scissors: Concrete strength ≥ C25-C30, thickness ≥ 200mm;
- 6-ton large scissors: Concrete strength ≥ C25-C30, thickness ≥ 250mm;
- 15-ton large scissors: Concrete strength ≥ C25-C30, thickness ≥ 300mm;
- Ground level accuracy < 5mm;
- For recessed installation, embed L40 angle iron around the pit for edging. If the site cannot connect the drain pipe to the sewer, construct a sump pit.
II. Workstation Dimensions
- Reserve workstation dimensions according to 4S standards: (7000-8000)mm × 4000mm;
- Ensure sufficient space for vehicles to drive onto and off the lifter;
- If the roof is low, install a light-blocking alarm on the ceiling to prevent collisions with lifted vehicles.
III. Power and Air Source Connection at Installation Site
- Three-phase core wire ≥ 2.5mm², single-phase core wire ≥ 4mm²;
- Power supply should be reserved 1m from the electrical control box;
- If the formal power supply is unavailable before installation, the repair station must provide a 380V three-phase four-wire temporary power supply for debugging and training.
IV. Preparation of Installation Tools and Materials
- 18L of L-HM46 anti-wear hydraulic oil per scissor lifter;
- A forklift with ≥ 2T capacity for loading, unloading, and moving;
- The detailed equipment and tool list shall follow the manufacturer's documentation.
V. Unpacking and Component Inventory
- Remove outer packaging and count components;
- Use a forklift to remove the fixed brackets of the two platforms;
- Position the two platforms at the installation site (note the main/auxiliary distinction: the platform near the control cabinet is the main platform).
VI. Oil Pipe Connection and Limiter Installation
- Connect the auxiliary platform's oil pipe to the main platform's three-way joint;
- Connect the auxiliary platform's air pipe to the main platform's three-way air pipe;
- Connect the limit wire in the control cabinet to the travel switch;
- Connect oil pipes to the control cabinet's valve plate joints (note main/auxiliary pipe distinction).
VII. External Power Connection, Hydraulic Oil Addition, and Platform Adjustment
- Connect the control cabinet's power cord to the external power supply;
- Open the leveling valve to level the two platforms (keep the valve open when bleeding air);
- Adjust the front/rear, left/right, and inter-platform distances.
VIII. Fixing Expansion Bolts
- Select a drill bit matching the expansion bolt size;
- Drill depth must be ~3cm longer than the bolt;
- Clean the hole and insert the expansion bolt;
- Tighten the expansion bolt.
IX. Debugging
- Check that all screws and oil pipe joints are tightened;
- Ensure no vehicles or personnel are on the platform. Raise it to the highest position, confirm locking, and verify sufficient unlocking space for further lifting.
X. Commissioning
- Lubricate the lifter's roller slides with butter.
Safety Note: Before operation, maintenance personnel must receive training on safe operation procedures and pass assessment. For installation inquiries, call the customer service hotline +86-10-52478890/1/2/3 or contact your local dealer for prompt assistance.
